Accendo Street Sales

Hey guys.. here is a possible area for your to get CIP hours if your still want to.. or to just help out and support the community. =) [Guen Yik's SL project btw]

Accendo '09 (www.accendo09.com)

They are a team of students that formed a team to aid the Student Advisory Centre (SAC) which provides a myriad of services and programmes for underprivileged youth and children.

The Lunch Box Fund is the Centre’s cash gift to primary and secondary school students from poor and needy families, which sponsors the children for an entire academic year. With this, the Centre intends to contribute S$143,000 to the community in year 2009, to approximately 500 deserving students. The Centre hopes to empower youths from disadvantaged family backgrounds such that they may gain self-dependency.

Accendo '09 aims to:

I Raise $50,000 for the SAC

II Promote awareness of the SAC, and in particular, the beneficiaries of the Lunch Box Fund, to at least 200,000 students and members of the public

III Inspire other youths to rise up to the challenge and aid the community

To aid the SAC in its fund raising efforts, Accendo will be conducting 19 streets sales sessions to raise funds and they require volunteers. Details regarding the dates and timings of the sales are as follows:

Friday (3 P.M. – 7 P.M)

Session 16: 12 June

Session 18: 19 June

Sunday (9 A.M. – 1 P.M / 2 P.M. – 6 P.M. )

Session 17A: 14 June (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 17B: 14 June (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 19A: 21 June (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 19B: 21 June (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 20A: 5 July (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 20B: 5 July (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 21A: 12 July (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 21B: 12 July (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 22A: 19 July (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 22B: 19 July (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 23A: 26 July (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 23B: 26 July (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 24A: 2 August (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 24B: 2 August (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 25A: 9 August (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 25B: 9 August (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 26A: 16 August (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 26B: 16 August (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Session 27A: 23 August (9 A.M. – 1 P.M.)
Session 27B: 23 August (2 P.M. – 6 P.M.)

Volunteers will assemble at Atrium@Orchard, Thereafter, they will be dispatched to different locations to begin street sales and return to the meeting point by the end of their shift.

Volunteers may sign up for multiple sessions on different dates. Please include details as follows:

i) The session which they would like to sign up for

More information will be disseminated to the volunteers after their names have been confirmed. CIP hours will be awarded to participating students accordingly. Also, regular commitment for our street sales can be recorded under the Service component of the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA).
